Sydney & Eric’s Wedding at Clover Forest was amazing! I met Sydney and Eric through Eric’s stepmom, Lisa! After meeting them, I realized Sydney has a very unique personality and her choices for their wedding truly displayed that.

Sydney chose the most amazing black wedding dress and black veil to go with it. Their date was Friday the 13th and she wanted a spooky feel to their wedding. When you see their images, you will know she succeeded! During our initial conversation, Sydney told me her wedding dress was black. I’ve been waiting patiently for months to see her dress. When I saw it I couldn’t wait to get started! And her shoes went perfectly with the dress!

If you read their engagement session blog, you’ll know that Sydney has over 400 houseplants so I also was curious about her florals. Her bouquet was stunning along with the rest of her florals. I’ve photographed a lot of weddings over the last few years but I don’t recall anyone using orchids in their florals. They were magnificent!

Sydney and Eric are also huge pet lovers and they had one of their dogs, Nim as the flowerdog along with his handler who was also the flowerman. I couldn’t stop smiling when he walked Nim down the aisle and threw his flower petals. Of course, Nim’s attire was adorable with a flower collar and a tutu to go with it. She was so cute and they performed their job flawlessly!

Their ceremony was short and sweet with Lisa as their officiant. I took them out after their first dance to get some gorgeous bride and groom portraits before the sun set. We hadn’t used the lake yet for their portraits so we wandered down there and it was so beautiful! Sydney asked me if we could include the shelter by the pond to give some of their portraits a spooky feel! I was happy to incorporate it and it fit perfectly with her theme!

I finished their coverage with a sparkler and cool sparks event later that evening! Sydney and Eric had so many interesting and unique ideas for their wedding and I’m thrilled I was able to document their day!
