I’m so excited to share these senior portraits at Boar’s Head! Bob is a rising senior at Charlottesville High School and is also a talented musician as well! His dad John is a long-time friend of mine and I was thrilled to document this last year of high school for Bob!
One of the coolest things about this session is that Bob wanted pictures taken with his tuba! As a lot of you are aware, I admire musicians. As a kid, my mom made me take piano lessons and I could never learn to read music so anyone who can play a musical instrument is amazing to me! I love that I asked Bob to play his tuba so I could take some images of him playing and he was happy to do so. John says that a neighbor of his loves to hear Bob practicing. It turns out all that practice is paying off as Bob’s latest accomplishment is auditioning for and becoming a member of the Charlottesville Band! I know John and Sally (John’s wife and Bob’s mom) couldn’t be prouder!
The other thing I love about this session is Bob wore his grandfather’s suit! John says he loves wearing it. And, I love it when clients dress up for their session. One of my grandfathers passed away when I was in high school and I miss him terribly. Pictures of him and the things of his that were passed down to me are treasures! I can only imagine how special this suit is to Bob!
I cannot wait to see what Bob accomplishes during his senior year! I’m certain it will be amazing and I’m so glad John chose to do his senior portraits at Boar’s Head. What an amazing backdrop for his images!
