I was the second photographer for this beautiful garden wedding in Richmond Virginia! I had the pleasure of photographing for Kailey Brianne Photography!

It was incredibly hot for early June but the bride and groom didn’t seem to care since it was their wedding day! They were both full of smiles and happiness!

As the second shooter, it was my responsibility to photograph the bride and bridesmaids getting hair and makeup done. I also photographed the groom and groomsmen getting ready as well as their formal portraits. I was incredibly nervous since I wasn’t the primary photographer! It’s a little scary to give another photographer your images unedited at the end of the night. But I wanted this experience and so I pushed myself to do this! I’m so glad I did! It gave me a different perspective and allowed me to work with an amazing photographer! Kailey’s work is incredible and it was truly my honor to be her second!

This venue is a lovely site for a wedding! The ceremony was in one of the gardens at this venue. It was truly beautiful with gorgeous mature trees surrounding a beautiful archway!! And the reception tent was adjacent to the garden with some of the most gorgeous reception details I’ve seen!

The thing to me that was so special was the gift the groom gave to his mother. The groom’s father is deceased so he had his father’s ring remade into his wedding band and had the remaining gold made into a pendant for his mother. He gave it to her before the wedding and was the sweetest gift! His mother cried when she opened it and I wanted to sob my eyes out as I watched her. It was truly a special moment and I’m so glad I was able to capture that for them!

After an afternoon of getting ready photos and a first look with dad, this beautiful bride walked down the aisle to her waiting groom! Their ceremony was full of a lot of love and joy before they were announced, man and wife! The ceremony was followed by a fun cocktail hour, energetic reception introductions, touching first dances, and sentimental toasts! Enjoy the images from this garden wedding in Richmond Virginia!
