There are quite a few sessions that happened on our annual family beach trip, one of which is the Texas Holmes Family Beach Session! Michael always calls our son’s family the Texas Holmes and the reason is pretty obvious, they live in Texas!

Michael spent three weeks at the beach this year and I spent the first two with him. The first week was with our son’s and daughter’s families. And the second and third weeks were with Michael’s siblings and mom. I have one more session after this one and you’ve already seen Taylor’s sweet sixteen session, Kiersten’s session and so this one is for Devin’s family!

We did a few portraits of Devin and his family after Kiersten’s with the intention of doing a full session later. But our daughter-in-law left earlier than expected so Courtney wasn’t there for the second. I think I’ve got it covered though!

We always love spending time with our Texas grandkids and we hate it when they go home. And I know how much Devin loves his Dad. Michael hates talking on the phone but the one person he is always talking to is Devin. I know how much Devin wishes his Dad was closer so they could spend more time together.

The reason the beach trip with Devin and Kiersten has become a yearly tradition is because Devin wants his kids to spend time at the beach with their Holmes grandparents as he did with his when he was a kid. Fortunately, his Nana (Michael’s mom) is still coming with us and we hope she will for a long time. Did I mention she is an amazing matriarch and deeply loved by her family! She has four children (Michael is the oldest), ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. They love her fiercely!
