Fallon and William married last weekend and I had hoped to get this out last week but things were busy and it didn’t happen! So first, I will post Fallon & William’s Engagement session and then I will post their gorgeous wedding.
We did their engagement session last October and it is truly one of my favorites to date! We met at Center in the Square in downtown Roanoke for the start of their session. It is a gorgeous view from the rooftop and we had beautiful clouds to accentuate all that landscape! Fallon’s mom, Darla accompanied them and graciously helped with their session! Seriously, I think I need to hire her as an assistant as she held my reflector, directed pedestrians, and managed cars so we could get all their requested locations.
I chatted with Fallon and William before they booked and adored the way these two interact with each other. Initially, William didn’t think they needed the full experience but Fallon was quick to call him Sweetie and tell him that she indeed did want the full experience! They apologized to me for having to listen to them discuss what they wanted. I thought it was truly enlightening to see how they interact with each other. Once she told him that a full day of coverage was what she wanted he graciously deferred to her.
I always try to make sessions fun so that my clients will remember it fondly, especially the groom. I had worried that William might not enjoy his session but was delighted when he was joking and having a good time during the session. Did I mention that I love being around these two? I absolutely do and can’t wait to share their wedding blog!
After getting images up on the rooftop, we went down to the fountain. Darla graciously directed pedestrians for me so I could get images of Fallon and William in front of the fountain without people in the background. Next up was the City Market Building. Fallon & William wanted images in front of this iconic building but there was a car parked in front. Darla and Fallon kindly asked them to move so we could get those without cars in front.
Then we were off to finish up at Carvins Cove Natural Reserve so we could get images there with the reservoir and the fall leaves on the mountains in the background! I had worried all day that it was going to rain during their session but it held off until the very end! I had so much fun at this session and can’t get over how gorgeous their images are!
Next up is their wedding! I can’t wait to share it!
