I couldn’t wait to document Alison & Jamaal’s Wedding at Farm 1750! This venue is incredible and a dream to photograph at! There are many things I love about it and I could definitely write a separate blog on my reasons. The best part is the venue owners are wonderful to work with and incredibly kind.
The day was overcast and it drizzled on and off through the early afternoon. When I arrived I went to greet Alison and she let me know that they would make a call about an hour before the ceremony as to whether it would be in or outdoors. She really wanted the ceremony outside and told me a thirty minute delay might happen to accomodate that. Alison jokingly told me that she is notorious for being late so no one would be surprised if the ceremony was delayed a little!
Fortunately, the weather held and although it was misting slightly at ceremony time. Alison and Jamaal’s ceremony was outside under the beautiful trees with the venue’s vineyard as their backdrop. Jamaal kept his back to the guests while Alison made her way to the ceremony site. He didn’t turn around until she reached the aisle!
It was a short ceremony but incredibly sweet! Alison’s sister, Melody was their officiant. They wrote their own vows which were cute and sweet. She teared up while reading them and the most adorable part was Alison promised to love Jamaal 95% of the time but. I had to laugh when she said that. These two are really sweet together and a lot of fun to be around!
After their ceremony I quickly worked to get through family formals and the wedding party photos as it was starting to drizzle a little heavier. You would never know the conditions weren’t ideal though as the lighting is gorgeous for these along with their Bride and Groom Photos!
DJ Rick did a fabulous job with introductions and the wedding party made a tunnel for Alison & Jamaal to enter through. I loved listening to him introduce everyone. He spent a lot of time before the wedding getting details from each member of the wedding party so his introductions were well thought out and entertaining!
I could tell by watching Alison and Jamaal with their friends and family, that they truly adore them. This wedding was a blast to photograph and I wish both of them a very long happy marriage!
