This week on the blog I’m highlighting one of my vendors from my Casually Elegant Styled Shoot! Please welcome Shannon from Bogue Sound Distillery (BSD)! They are fairly new to the fine spirit market but as you’ll see they have great momentum! I had a tour and tasting last August and am very excited to have Shannon share about BSD! And by the way, my husband Michael is a huge fan of their Vodka and Gin! If you like fine spirits, you have to try them out!

Hello Everyone! I’m Shannon Childress, and this is my beautiful wife Shara! I work for Bogue Sound Distillery as a Sales Manager and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share about BSD with you!

A Lifelong Dream

I would like to start off by telling you a little about the company. It starts with the owner Richard Chapman! Richard had a lifelong dream to take his family recipes and start a distillery here in North Carolina. Originally, he started selling his first product, Vitzellen Vodka in July of 2018. After great success with the Vodka, Richard introduced four new flavors within eight months of selling his first bottle to NC ABC Stores. These four new flavors were John AP Conoley Bourbon Whiskey, John AP Conoley Salted Caramel, John AP Conoley Carolina Peanut Butter, and Bombshell Cucumber Gin. These have been great additions to the family of fine spirits.

Our Yearly Sales

In 2019 we ranked 23rd out of all NC Distilleries for yearly sales. And in 2020 we had an incredible year as our ranking moved to 2nd in distillery sales in NC. Hopefully, we will be expanding our territories in the near future to South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. So be on the lookout for us at your local bars, restaurants, and wherever else fine spirits are sold!

The Best Part

Becoming a salesman for Bogue Sound Distillery has been a great opportunity for me and my family! The best part of my job is meeting new faces and seeing people’s reactions when they try our products for the first time!
