Kristin & Ryan Married

I had the honor of photographing Kristin & Ryan’s intimate Charlottesville wedding. It was one of the sweetest ceremonies I’ve seen. I loved getting to know them and their adorable boys during their engagement session last summer.

Their oldest son Addison is so much fun to photograph! Kristin has trained him well to have his photos taken. He constantly says cheese when you point the camera at him. You can tell how much he loves his brother, Truitt from the photos. These are some of the cutest photos of siblings and cousins I’ve seen.

I arrived early so I could scope out the property and decided pretty quickly that the front porch was going to make a lovely backdrop for Kristin and Ryan’s first look. It was so pretty we stayed there for the rest of their portraits! I didn’t want to move them anywhere else!

Kristin told me before the wedding that the boys might be part of the first look so I asked if we could let Ryan see her first, grab some photos and then bring the boys out! That turned out to be a great decision! We could focus on Ryan the first time and then focus on Addison and Truitt for the second! Addison went straight to his Mom and hugged her after he saw her.

Their wedding was held at a beautiful private residence that belongs to one of their family members. The most incredible part of their ceremony was their vows to each other. They told me they had written their own and I made sure to photograph them. I told them, Michael and I wrote our own and I have no idea where they are. I also don’t remember what we said. So I always tell my couples to make sure I can photograph them. When they read them I teared up.

Kristin and Ryan ended the night with their first dance, followed by Kristin’s dance with her dad and Ryan’s dance with his mom. Then they cut their beautiful cake from Moon Maiden’s Delights and toasted each other! I have to say this wedding is one of my favorites I asked Addison if he was tired while getting my gear together and he said no! Oh to have endless energy!
